My photographer is Grey Villet. He was a famous LIFE Magazine photographer who started in 1950's. He captured a wide variety of topics and cultures. I decided to pick my photographs from a collection of pictures he did of people talking on the phone. Here are the ones i'm considering:

In 1958 Grey Villet chronicled a teenage couple talking on the telephone. This first photo is entitled "Ginny Nyvall Talking on the Phone to Charlie Hoag".

It's counterpart is "Ginny Nyvall Talking to Charlie Hoag Who Finds Privacy in a Closet" which shows the other side of the conversation.

Also in the series is a picture of Ginny's sister (Sue) talking to one of her girl friends. I think it's interesting to compare this picture and the first one when considering the different people who they are talking to. This is called, "Sue Nyvall Gets up Early to Talk on the Phone to a Girl Friend while Sister is Still in Bed"

In 1955 Grey Villet did a series titled "Oren Lee Staley, President Of The Nat'L Farmers' Assoc." that chroniclled some of the daily tasks of Oren Lee Staley. Here are two pictures of him talking on the phone. I think they portray the act of talking on the telephone in a very different light than the previous pictures do.
